About Us
Statum was founded in 2019 by a group of three women studying computer science. The need for a better solution for victims of domestic and sexual violence caught their attention and they were certain they could do something about it. They have been working in close cooperation with authorities in Iceland since 2019 to improve service for victims of violence with the help of virtual reality.

The Statum Team
Co-Founder
BSc Computer Science, minor in law from ReykjavÃk University. Edit loves to cycle and play board games. She's allergic to so many things, therefore no carrots are allowed at the office. She has been interested in entrepreneurship since she was 12 years old, when she took a part of a one time project called "Auður à krafti kvenna". She took part in every innovation competitions and projects she could find, and still does.
Co-Founder
BSc Computer Science from Reykjavík University. Hafdís is a passionate soccer player and likes to cycle. She tells jokes like there's no tomorrow. She wanted to join the police force but decided to study computer science instead and use the technology to help people.
Co-Founder
BSc Psychology and BSc Computer Science from ReykjavÃk University. Her dream when finishing the latter was to combine her knowledge of people and technology to do something amazing. Helga loves reading books, practicing yoga and going to music concerts. She sings and plays the violin. She has a calm presence and keeps everybody at the office down to earth.
